Equipped with dive lights and guided by our experienced SSI & PADI professionals, you can witness nocturnal marine life, bioluminescence, and the serene beauty of Kuta Lombok’s underwater world in a completely different light. Popular night dive sites include Tanjung Aan and Secret Reef — where cuttlefish, octopus, sleeping parrotfish, and hunting reef sharks emerge after dark.

Anyone who is a certified diver, feels confident in their skills, and is physically fit can participate in a night dive. For those new to the experience, guided night dives or a specialty night diving course are excellent ways to build confidence and learn essential techniques.

📖 Course Overview
Night diving reveals a completely different underwater world. As daylight fades, nocturnal marine life emerges — hunting octopuses, sleeping parrotfish wrapped in mucus cocoons, bioluminescent plankton, and active crustaceans that hide during the day. Familiar dive sites become entirely new adventures under the beam of your dive light.
This night dive experience begins with a comprehensive briefing covering light handling, communication in darkness, navigation techniques, and safety procedures specific to low-light conditions. For certified divers who haven't dived in a while or feel a bit rusty, we include a refresher knowledge review and confined water session to practice key diving techniques in a controlled environment before the night dive.
During the dive, you'll be guided by an experienced SSI instructor who knows the site intimately. You'll learn proper light techniques — how to signal, how to avoid blinding your buddy, and how to spot the reflective eyes of nocturnal creatures. The dive typically lasts 45-60 minutes at a conservative depth, allowing plenty of time to observe the fascinating behaviors of creatures that only come out after sunset.
Upon completion, you'll have gained valuable experience in night diving techniques and may choose to continue with the full SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty certification.
